Colors, the Hindi General Entertainment channel by Viacom 18 Media Pvt. Ltd (a joint venture between Viaco
m Inc and Network18) won several awards at the 8th Idea Indian Television Awards. The unique shows from Colors palate got the channel a big round of applause at the recently concluded ITA Awards Function. Colors bagged 18 awards in various categories which includes Jury's Award for Best Show Drama: Balika Vadhu, Best Reality Show: Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, Best Actress Drama: Anandi played by Avika Gor in the show Balika Vadhu, Little Wonder: Krishna played by Krishna Bhatia in the show Jai Shri Krishna, Best Mythological: Jai Shri Krishna, Best Director: Arjun Menon for Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, Jury's Award for Best Director: Siddharth Sengupta for Balika Vadhu and TV Icon of the Year: Akshay Kumar for Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. The Indian Television Academy award, are considered the most coveted signet of excellence in Television Industry.Commenting on winning these awards Ashvini Yardi, Programming Head, Colors said "Colors will never rest on its laurels.
